There I was, just minding my own business, when the girlfriend blindsides me. She told me she had a yeast infection. I told her that it was disgusting and that I didn’t need to know about it, that she should take care of it on her own accord. Like many other times before in this relationship, I was wrong. The only reason she was telling me was that she thought she may have infected me. Alright, I guess it wasn’t that gross, I looked at it from a biological point of view and saw it for what it was scientifically; that made it a lot easier. I didn’t notice anything different down there so I thought I had escaped unscathed. How wrong I was.
It took a while, maybe a couple months, but I eventually started showing symptoms of both a penile yeast infection and herpes (gulp). I knew I hadn’t had sex with anyone outside the relationship and my girlfriend was trusting enough to believe me so I was hoping that it was a yeast infection. The head of my penis was definitely irritated and sore. The skin looked very red and there was what looked like dry skin around the head. This was freaking me out because it is my favorite organ and the prospect of something unwanted living on it took over my life. It was time to do some research.
The most inconspicuous research I could do was right here on the Internet. Unfortunately, you have to know where to look to find out what’s going on with your penile yeast infection. It’s really not spoken of that there exists such a thing as a male yeast infection but, as I had recently found out, they exist. And they hurt like hell, I knew just looking on the Internet wasn’t going to solve my problems, but it did give me a good place to start. As I had expected, it was probably contracted during sex so the girlfriend and I cut that out right away. I have to say, this lack of sex propelled me to find a cure faster than the pain, embarrassment and soreness ever did. How long would it be before I found the cure for my yeast infection.
I made my girlfriend go to the grocery store to pick up some Monistat cream for the little guy. I was way too embarrassed to pick it up myself; even just searching for solutions on the Internet scared me. I had read on the Internet that if it was applied to the affected area, even on men, it would begin to cure the infection. After using the cream for a couple days, I wasn’t noticing any change in my condition so I tried mixing some vinegar with the cream at the request of some Internet nutcase. Don’t do this. It only made things worse for me.
This is when things got serious. Seriously gross. My penis starting discharging clumpy nasty white stuff and, once again, my search for a male yeast infection treatment accelerated. It was time to overcome my embarrassment and see the doctor. Normally, if there’s something wrong with my body, I assume that it’s a highly specialized instrument capable of righting the problem, so I just wait. However, this pesky infection had gone too far. I mean sore penis head is one thing, discharging chunky white stuff (aside from the normal) was definitely beyond the line. The doctor confirmed my suspicions and told me that the Monistat was a good first step but it rarely works. He said that I had been infected by the notorious candida and it was working its way into my body slowly but surely. He thought it had made its way into my urethra and was aiming for my prostate gland (probably my favorite gland).
He warned that it could be deadly but not to worry about it and start treating it. The first prescription I got was called “Diflucan” and it was a broad spectrum antibiotic. This was killing damn near everything living on me in my naughty bits and you could tell. I can’t explain why, but I felt so tired and beaten taking this antibiotic. Anyways, it kept everything in balance down there, so long as I was using it. As soon as I stopped, the soreness came back. The doctor gave me another prescription, Nizoral, this one much more broad spectrum. This was some evil stuff. It was terrible smelling and, according to the doctor was going to take a huge toll on my liver and reduce my adrenal’s capability to make steroids. It definitely felt like my manhood was being chemically taken away from me but I wanted this problem dealt with so I tried it. Believe it or not, it did work at the expense of my chemically balanced body. I felt even worse than when I took the Diflucan so at the first opportunity, I stopped taking the Nizoral. The infection came back, and it was pissed. Back then I didn’t know that I could ever cure a yeast infection.
I went back to where I first started having lost faith in mass marketed over-the-counter products and harsh, really harsh, prescription antibiotics. I found a product that claimed to cure a yeast infection in 12 hours, even for men. Of course, I was skeptical of this e-book claiming it could do in twelve hours what other huge products had failed to do in months. I bought it because it was really cheap compared to the money I had spent on products already and you know what? The damn solution worked.
I read the book in a few hours, and although it might be kind of long if you just want to get rid of a yeast infection, the solution actually works. It took me the better part of a year to get rid of this ridiculous yeast infection but all it took was this “Natural Cure for Yeast Infection” book. All the methods were, as advertised, natural. Nothing was harsh or used chemicals and what’s more, it worked. I waited months expecting it to come back but it was gone, once and for all. My life has improved a million fold. I feel like a new man and intimacy has returned with a vengeance since I got rid of the infection.
